Agricultural Advisory Council

The Agricultural Advisory Council helps enhance the outreach efforts of the Cal Expo Board of Directors in the Agricultural community and advises the Board on matters pertaining to Agriculture at the State Fair and interim events. Agricultural Advisory Council members are leaders from key segments of the agriculture community.

California Agricultural Heritage Committee

Advises the Fair staff in the development and promotion of the California Agricultural Heritage Club in cooperation with partners.

Gala Committee

In conjunction with the Friends of the California State Fair and State Fair staff, the committee works to promote and support the annual Gala and Scholarship fund and ensures that agriculture has a major focus at the event.

California Recognition and Celebration Committee

Promotes the California State Fair through recognition of individuals, organizations, or businesses involved in agriculture.

Equine Program Committee

Shall promote Equine Programs through the annual California State Fair and interim events.

Farm and Food Committee

Focuses on showcasing California food production, agriculture, technology, sustainability, nutrition, farming techniques and practices both old and new, as well as, environmental interactions and impacts of production and food safety.

Livestock and Animal Care Committee

Responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional and responsible approach regarding the health, care and welfare of all animals housed within its facilities while upholding the animal agriculture education mission of the California State Fair.

Youth Development & Recognition Committee

Assists in the selection process of the State Fair scholarship recipients. The committee also assists the State Fair in organizing and coordinating the various aspects of the annual livestock State Fair Sale of Champions.
